An elephant causes a slight stir on the streets of Delhi.

Half the pedestrians and nearly all of the drivers barely batted an eyelash at the presence of a 2 ton elephant on the street. It's just a part of every day life in India, I imagine.

A motorcyclist nonchalantly maneuvers around a 2 ton elephant on the road.

For those of you that question why I come to India so often, you're seeing an example of the reason here. There aren't many nations on earth where an elephant so effortlessly shares the road with motorized traffic. As a product of a Western nation, I want to see and experience that which differs the most from my own country and our ways of doing things. Incredible India provides this as well as the unexpected on a near-daily basis.

Yeah, I'd like to see this happen over here... It would take a lane closure and Police escort. Teriffic images!

Scott, even rain seems to cause lane closures on the highways of where I'm from. Forget about exotic zoo animals roaming the streets.
