Karst formations seen from the mouth of a cave at Phranang beach in Railay.
The beach above is the star attraction in the Railay area. During the daytime, half the coast is lined with boats waiting for their day-tripping clients to return and the beach is scattered with semi-nude European holiday-makers. In the above photo, a recent rain shower, however, has cleared out the beach leaving only the hearty few that have braved the storm.
