Red rope cordons off those that desire to wantonly destroy the hanging kimchi portraits near the entrance of the Kimchi museum. ;-)
The "Kimchi Field Museum" is located on the 2nd basement level of the Coex Mall in Seoul (Subway line 2, Samseong Station). The museum is dedicated to teaching everything about Korea's favorite fermented vegetable side-dish, from its methods of preparation to nutritional value.
Thus starts my grand experiment to post only recently taken photos of the country in which I currently travel. With the rigors of traveling, normally, it's difficult to take photos during the day, process the RAW files, then get to an internet cafe to upload them to this site. As a result, previously, at the end of the month, I prepared the next month's worth of photos in one straight shot. However, I'm currently resting (& photographing) in Korea, so I have enough spare time to see if real-time posts are possible.
This exhibit features the various necessities for the storage of Kimchi, traditionally done outdoors, during its fermentation period.
Kimchi enthusiasts wander to see the various forms of Kimchi on exhibit.
