Vacationers walk the beach at sunset.
Clear on the far corner of the island, this location is on the route of my epic evening walks to battle the onset of Thai food induced obesity. Most of the day is spent either sitting and chatting with other guests or floating like a lump of chewy driftwood in the calm ocean. In other words, there's not much idle calorie burning during my day and so I task myself to take evening walks and pray my 4th and 5th meals of the day are quickly melted away. On this occasion, I happened to bring my camera and lucky for me because the sky turned partially blood red as is the custom on this island paradise.
A tourist is seen through a sparse forest resting on a piece of dry driftwood.
A few steps back from the previous photo, a strategically placed morsel of driftwood was the bait and it snared a suitable enough subject. However, with the island ratio of Swedes to non-Swedes close to 9:1, we were extremely unlucky not to land a well-tanned blond from the land of Ikea, purveyors of fine Nordic balsa wood furniture.
