Two women take an evening stroll on the elevated path connecting Het Steen and a well-housed bistro.
Just like that, in the difference of a few hours, the weather can turn from spring to winter in Antwerp. A few days ago it was nearly 70ºF (20ºC) and today people cover up in typical winter fashions. The western countries are unfamiliar to me now so I'm curious when a miniskirt and boots actually became the typical winter apparel that I'm seeing everywhere in Europe - not that I'm complaining.

The heavy machinery of Antwerp's port can be seen resting idle behind a beautifully housed bistro.
With a prime location overlooking the Schelt River and housed in what appears to be an ancient fortification, this restaurant oozes class. I don't want to begin guessing at the price of Belgian frijts (french fries) in a swank establishment like this. I'm curious, does anyone know if they sell frijts by the sliver?
