The historic castle in Annecy's old town backed by the Alps.
It's with a heavy heart I release some of my last photos of Annecy, taken as a resident of Annecy. As of September 1, I've moved to Geneva, 45 minutes away from Annecy and although it's not very far, the inability to walk outside my door and be within walking distance to lake Annecy will be sorely missed.
Annecy is the perfect mix of untainted nature and small city friendliness and I'll readily admit, I'm completely infatuated with the city as well as the greater Haute-Savoie region. It's a place I can easily see myself settling down to if my wandering days ever come to an end.
The view onto Annecy from my apartment in Annecy.
It's about that time of year when the leaves begin to change colors. Mais bien sur, I'll return to catch the technicolor splendor when the time is right.

Wow. I am thoroughly and completely green with envy. If you ever do settle there, we are coming for a visit!!
