A beautiful Thai woman sits on the porch of a traditional Thai teak wood house.
Like yesterday's photo, this is another fun shoot for my own personal fulfillment and practice. Often times, I find I need to temporarily distance myself from my non-model travel-oriented shooting in order to reset myself and get a new perspective. When these times arise, I immediately think in-situ type shoots like the one above. However, finding the location is generally the most difficult portion of the endeavor, especially a location that allows the setup of light stands and other clutter (see photo below).
The setup shot of the above traditional Thai teak wood house with fellow photographer, "The Fireball" (left) and our lovely Thai model.
Strobist: The setup shot unfortunately doesn't show the gelled bare bulb light accenting her hair and cheek, hidden perfectly behind the wooden column. In retrospect, I think I should have brought that hair light a bit higher to separate her crown from the dark background behind her.
