An inline skater slaloms a course of small, evenly-spaced pylons at Central World Mall in Bangkok.
I happened to be walking around the other day (testing out my new trekking backpack) when I chanced upon this international slalom skating contest. I've occasionally seen rollerbladers attempting this type of slaloming at the park but who would've thought there are international competitions... and so many fans?! If I had to hazard a guess, I'd bet many of the fans were like me: accidental audience members that stumbled upon a skating spectacle and stuck around just long enough before their empty stomachs forced them inside for dinner.
A slalom skating participant performs a scissor-like maneuver, shimmying sideways through the cones.
The white balance appears to be a bit off but I assure you, it's correct. There happens to be a bright yellow spotlight just off-camera left, casting an awful light on the skater.
