It's relatively easy to beat the mobs to get tourist-free photos in the morning. Just wake up earlier than the 99% of people who don't care to see sunrise at the Taj Mahal. However, I'm curious if any unconnected photographer on earth has a people-free image of the Taj Mahal at sunset. By late afternoon, the roles reverse and now 99% of non-sunrise people are at the Taj crawling around and/or waiting for the sun to set.
