The view from the lookout atop the Military History Museum at Peace Memorial Park on Beigan Island, part of the Matsu archipelago of Taiwan.
The island just north of Nangan, the main administrative capitol of Matsu, is Beigan island, well worth several days of exploration. Both islands are well connected by frequent ferries that only require 20 minutes of travel time. Once on the island of Beigan, although a bus system exists, rented scooters offer the most convenient form of transportation to criss-cross the island at your leisure.
